Bridgestone "Superbrand" i Tyskland

The independent worldwide organisation Superbrands has this year distinguished the trademark "Bridgestone" as one of the best and strongest products and company brand names. With a years-long tradition of repeated top placements in independent tyre tests, this leading international Japanese group is now firmly established in Europe as a premium trademark.
Superbrands, which has been evaluating the best brands and trademarks for 12 years now, is active in more than 70 countries. Its self-appointed target is to identify and spotlight excellent product names in individual countries and to honour these with its illustrious award. This is not simply a question of "ranking” top brands and trademarks in each of these countries, but of distinguishing them for their uniqueness and reliability.
Bridgestone has made a name for itself with its matchless commitment to the world of motor sport and its global safety initiative "Think before you drive“. Today Bridgestone stands out in the tyre market for premium quality, sportiness and safety.
The 2007 Superbrands awards are the third edition in Germany, following those of 2003 and 2005. The initiative is supported by programme partners Handelsblatt and n-tv; partners that further underline the high rating already enjoyed by Superbrands.
Independent business experts initiate the selection process by first nominating a number of outstanding product brands and trademarks of companies operating within the national borders of the country in question. A high-ranking jury consisting of financial journalists and experts from the fields of advertising and public relations, as well as from prominent associations, then evaluate the companies nominated and select from these their Top 100 the best of the best. The criteria for selection are the dominance and acceptance of the brand name or trademark, customer loyalty, the durability of the brand and the brand value of the business enterprise.
Those companies with the 100 best nominated brands and trademarks are then notified by Superbrands of their selection. In the autumn they are welcomed to an exclusive presentation where they then receive their Superbrands trophy an event that is very much in the eye of the media and of other brand and trademark holders far and wide.
The winners of the award are also listed in an exclusive publication: The Book of Superbrands Germany.
Other award-winners together with Bridgestone this year include ADAC, Aral, Deutsche Bank, DHL, Hertz, Kinderschokolade, Martini, Miele, Nivea, SKL, Varta and VISA an exclusive group of VIBs (Very Important Businesses) the names of which form an essential part of our everyday life and language.
